New year! New job! I started my 2024 with a new job at Medivet Hendon and enjoyed it from day one. I have 2 doggies who I adore. They have complete opposite personalities and they keep me going. Although it’s been tempting to get another dog, I thought it would be best to work at a vet and surround myself with animals. So here I am! I’m also a photographer, so if you ever want a photo of your pet, you know where to find me.

Quick check in at reception. Minimal wait to see the lively (you’re all lively!) health checks done paw-dicure for the ginger miss(known as her highness at home) and the (fat) fluffy black madam’s skin check done and advice on skin care gratefully received! Thank you as always. They eventually recovered from the traumatic visit!

My dog has gotten attracked and it has taken 40 mins to pick up the phone and they are the emergency contact for my pets. Its appauling and disgusting for an emergency service for pets to this long and I'm still waiting.

We sadly lost our beautiful dog Iris last week. The care & compassion the staff showed to her & us was just incredible. They loved & cared for her, comforted her & talked to her when she was scared. The genuine love & support was appreciated by us so much. We are confident that Iris received the best care and they showed her such dignity & love. We can never thank you enough. Our only regret is not coming to you sooner. Please dog owners, if you have an emergency, come straight here & bypass your regular vet. If only we had Iris might still be with us. Thank you to all of you - you are angels.

My dog has had behavioural issues since she was a puppy. She’s now a year old and generally good with people, but still struggles with other dogs. I took her to this vet for a consultation — they took her to the back for five minutes and came back recommending an MRI, without much explanation. I decided to get a second opinion from another clinic, where they prescribed gabapentin. Since then, she’s been doing great. It feels like this first clinic jumps to recommending the most expensive treatments right away. I wouldn’t go back unless I had no other options.

I will newer go back to them! I have called before and I have let them know is a emergency, when I arrive they charged 150 pounds just to have a look on my cat's, this is not fair, the treatment was 49 pounds and just to have a look 150 pounds, really?

The vet was great, and have no issues with the treatment of our cat, however…we had an emergency appointment on a bank hol (meaning a significantly higher consultation fee) with a suspected tail fracture. She was admitted for treatment and X-rays, but got a call a couple of hours later to be casually told that the X-ray machine was broken, and that she probably doesn’t need one anyway as they couldn’t feel a break (which I found odd given previously they had said she did need one, and the swelling made it hard to tell by feel). We insisted on getting an X-ray anyway and so they reassured that we would receive a call the next morning to update on whether the X-ray machine has been fixed and to bring her back in. No phone call was received, so I called back and spoke to someone I do not believe even knew about the X-ray machine being broken (pretty important for a 24 hour emergency vet no?!). Overall quite poor quality experience. Will not be going back

Disappointed as I paid £117 for this appointment due to my cat scratching his eye. I paid exactly £21.60 for a paper prescription. I then went to 2 pharmacies and was told that with this private prescription I would be charged double for the eyedrops (£20.70 on top of the £21.60 l already paid to Medivet), both pharmacies told me the human eyedrops were available over the counter for £10.70 but Medivet said I can only get this with a prescription. So I'm really disappointed I paid £21.60 for a piece of paper that would allow the pharmacy to charge me double. When I called Medi-vet to query this, they said they had not heard of this before, but both pharmacies were adamant that Medivet would be aware that a private prescription would cost me more and they're surprised that they did not inform me that these eyedrops are available to buy over the counter. Called MediVet to request my money back for the paper prescription they refused so just disappointed
