I studied and graduated in Turkey in 2021. In my last year of university I worked with my brother who is also a veterinary surgeon in his small animal clinic. During my education I also studied in Germany for 1 year with the Erasmus program. After I graduated, I worked as an emergency veterinarian on night shifts and then I got an opportunity to work in UK as a veterinary surgeon in 2022 and have been practising in UK since. My love of animals started with our childhood border collie, Mico. Now I have 2 cats named Simba and Guccuk, that I took in as strays, even though they're 9, they're still my babies.

I qualified in 2013 after completing my apprenticeship at the practice. From a very young age I knew that I wanted to be a vet nurse, wanting to help and care for animals and their welfare. I feel really lucky to be doing a job that I love. My dog Vinny is a huge part of my life. My favourite thing is curling up with Vinny on the sofa with a film.

I've worked with many different pets, large and small. I have a handsome New Forest pony called Star, who I've had since he was three years old. I also have a Pomsky puppy called Wolfie, who has taught me a lot about raising a dog. I grew up with a lot of different pets which has given me my passion to care for all animals and to help their owners.

Practice Manager

I joined Heene Road Vets in February 2000 as a receptionist and have been here ever since apart from a 2 year break. In this time I worked as a support worker which was rewarding but not quite as rewarding as being around the animals, and I did miss the team a lot! I have not regretted coming back to veterinary work and think I will still be here in another 20 years. During lock down I took in a lovely dog for 1 month as his owner was poorly. He is still with me and loves to come to work with me and sit under desks in the office waiting for treats, particularly Vet Eurico's desk! I am about to embark on an a new role from September 24 as Practice Manager for Worthing , Goring By Sea and Brighton branch and I am really looking forward to all the new challenges that await me .

The practice is growing; if you’re looking to join Medivet please view our current vacancies

Yemisi has been a huge support in the management of our aging dogs. I leave knowing the plan, knowing I’m getting the best advice, but it’s given to me with care and nurture. Yemisi always checks in on how I feel too. She goes the extra mile. Im so grateful and couldn’t be happier. Reception staff are always welcoming and helpful but fun too.

I went in today with my puppy as I was really worried as it’s my first puppy with my partner and he wasn’t too well. yemisi put my mind to rest and was really chatty and happy and great with our puppy. She answered all our questions and then some and gave us great advice and recommendations. I feel so comfortable calling or popping in now whenever and knowing my dog is in good hands. The reception staff are also so lovely :)

I've been going to Medivet Brighton with my cat Leo for two years and have been met with nothing but care, kindness, excellent advice and a palpable love for animals. Can't recommend enough. He always knows when we have entered the reception and becomes calm - he knows he will be given time and love. Shout out to Yemisi, Leo is always so happy to see you and thank you for all you do for him! 😊

I have always been treated very well with my pets, they always fit you in an appointment. My pets are always calm when they are seen by one of the staff. I would recommend them to my friends, it’s the surgery in Brighton 😊

Have made 3 visits to the vet so far for vaccinations/worm tablets/weighing and the free check-up and nail clipping. On each occasion I have found everyone very helpful and their love of animals comes through. Puppy looks forward to treats every time!
