Medivet Speke

A huge THANK YOU to the wonderful staff at Medivet Speke and Alder hospital for saving the life of my furry friend Logan. He was in agony with a blocked bladder , and would have died without prompt treatment. He is now back home enjoying his garden and special diet. Well done indeed Medivet !

We lost our beloved Bailey on the 16th April. We finally got her Ashes, paw print, some fur and a lovely card with a beautiful verse which brought tears to ours eyes. Thankyou.

Poor receptionist is miserable, asked for my prescription as left an wanted to go some were else refused it as they said it been wiped ,was only two days later,tried doing another one of there practices they said they'd get my details an phone me back still waiting, vet wasn't much use found out since they left he questioned my cat breed wen I asked if he'd seen one before he said no , don't no why they had vets you never seen them was always the nurses ,there just out yo make as much money as they can ,an if they'd like to get in touch I'll glady tell them ,

Please do not take your pets here. They used a locum vet, Freya Hughes-Jones, who was ill equipped to do the job and had very little care to our cat almost dropping her on the floor when taking her out of her basket. Took blood for tests and couldn't find any needles to do it nor is there a vet nurse to assist. After we had finished the appointment we had to take her back into consultation because she forgot to weigh her. We suspected our cat may have an abscess which we reported when we booked the appointment and the Vet, didn't even check her temperature. The vet was rude and unapologetic when I asked how we had such a poor experience. She responded with "Mistakes happen and I'm only human". This isn't the response of a caring or professional vet. We have cancelled our other cats registration because I simply do not trust them. It's the worst experience I have had from a vets practice. It is at best, shambolic and at worst, dangerous. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I have complained in person and formally on their website already. Our cat will have to examined again by another surgery at further expense to us and more upset for our pet.

Receptionist was patronising, belittling, rude & highly judgemental & whom loved the sound of her own voice of self importance with intent for other customers to hear. This was my first ever experience at a vetinary practice & may possibly be my last at medivet Speke. Another customer was gobsmacked by her attitude.
